Out of Dial-up Land
It has actually been over a week since I moved out of dial-up land – I will never look back! I am so happy, and have been catching myself up with the internet! This has already proven itself to be a giant step to improving my online business life
-I am now able to access all of our training audios and videos, plus recorded and live webinars offered at Send Out Cards. The knowledge I can gain from all of this will be invaluable. I am not at a place that I can afford the long distance call to be in on the weekly conference calls and team call, but at least most of them are recorded and I can now listen, or watch them whenever I want.
-I’m no longer behind in the chats! There were times, back in dial-up land, when I just felt so lost in our chatroom conversations at MomChats.com – everyone would be a response ahead of me – at least now I can keep up. Not sure if anyone else notices the difference, but I do!
-My concentration seems to have improved somewhat as well. In dial-up land I had so long to wait for pages to come up sometimes I would get lost and forget what I was doing – “Now why did I want to go here?? what was I doing?” LOL! I can browse through my Photobucket account images, find what I’m looking for without having to wait a minute for the images to load.
-Nice to have some online radio to listen to. Our home receiver is burned out, and my clock radio has limited reception. I usually need some sort of background noise, and the TV can be such a distraction.
-Plus, I have developed a new relationship with my laptop – comes in handy when son #1 wants to get nlne to play his games. Now at least I don’t have to pace the floor for 2+ hours waiting for his promised time to be over. My business has also just become more portable – with my having the wireless connection! Whoo Hoo!
Okay, I know that I haven’t mentioned anything here that isn’t anything new to mmost of you – but humor me! I prommised hubby that i wouldn’t upgrade to hi-speed until my internet income could pay for it. so this is a milestone, and what I consider to be another launching point for me in my online business efforts!

Benefits of an Online Party
Last month I was asked to put together what I thought were some of the benefits of an online party. You know, like a home party but online, “in-person” just through the use of a chat room instead of someone’s living room. It’s only dawned on me recently to post them here! Look for an article to go up at MWS next! 
Some benefits of an online party, for Reps. and guests alike…
-An online party saves time and money for everyone involved – hostess and guests. Travel time is really as long as it takes to get to your computer and into the online party room. In this time of rising gas prices – it may add up into more of a turn out because no one has to get in their car and drive anywhere!
-You can invite more than you normally could for an in-home party and reach a broader audience – the internet world! An online chatroom can accommodate more people than an in-home party might. Therefore, the presentation of your products or business opportunity reaches more people.
-When you host an online party, you don’t have to provide snacks, or a clean house, or even be dressed for that matter! LOL!
-Child care is not as much of an issue an issue, because you’re not leaving home, but you might want to have little ones busy with an activity or DVD to allow you to party.
-An online party allows you to communicate with your customer base, especailly those out of state. You can use an online party as another tool for selling to your regular customers. It also offers them an opportunity to interact with you, ask questions etc. in more of an immediate way than email, or a monthly newsletter could offer. Also, less costly than a long distance call.
-For most direct sales consultants, instead of handling the orders and payments, credit card issues, etc. themselves, the company takes care of that as customers order through their website. Commission is earned via the online ordering system and added to your check. For customers – they order through a secure website, and their order is shipped to them directly from the company.
-A free online party chat room, such as MomChats.com allows you to schedule your online party that is most convenient for you and your guests.
