Goal Setting Through My Son’s Eyes
I actually wrote this 3 years ago, it’s long, but it still rings true today…
I taught my four year old son how to draw a turkey, by tracing his hand. You remember how to do this, don’t you? Make the thumb into the turkey’s head, (don’t forget the little “hanging thingy”) and turn the fingers into tail feathers. Granted, I had to remind him that turkeys only have two legs. Tommy decided he would decorate our staircase with turkeys-one per step. We went together, and counted the stairs. “I need to make 14 turkeys!” he said “That’s a-yot!”
The M in WAHM stands for Mom
Last month I found this great graphic! (Right) I think it kinda looks like me, with my new haircut, and Matthew, my youngest. It was so inspiring, I had this crazy thought to start a Mom blog! ROF! It was the last thing I needed to do – start yet another blog!
Then this past weekend, going between all of my outdated blogs I started to wish I had put my Momblog graphic here on this blog. And it came to me – you should combine the two! I mean after all – the M in WAHM stands for Mom! Besides before my impetuous decision to start it in the first place I had thoughts of putting those posts here anyway. LOL!
So my apologies to my friends who added my mom blog to their readers – delete that okay? Tune in here instead for all of my WAHM-Mom adventures from now on. Promise
Back at Mom’s Online Retreat
She’s my baby – my very first website. I go weeks at a time working on the site – updating everything, freshening it it up, but am so bad about actually staying up-to date! Mom’s Online Retreat still has so much room for growth! It’s evolved as I have online, and with my higher speed on the internet I’m finally finding the time to bring her back to life!
I had to take down the Scrapbook Shoppe as I am no longer with TLC, but have added a new Home Spa Shoppe (a desire of mine for awhile) and am featuring the handmade/homemade bath and body products created by a fellow Mom, and owner of The Scented Tub. For now, I’ve listed the HomeSpa Shoppe in my side navigation at Mom’s Online Retreat, and in the Retreat Shoppes Directory. The full line of products is available for purchase through my links to the store. Soon though I will have a HomeSpa Shoppe page that will feature some specials of my own, from Mom’s Online Retreat. I’ve got some specials in mind just in time for the holiday shopping season.
Oh, wait that seems to have already started! LOL!
There are lots of ideas I have for building up The Shoppes at Mom’s Online Retreat – next will be the Holiday Shoppe, which I plan to keep open all year round, and to round them off will be the Greeting Card Shoppe. Posts for the near future.
